Using Spring Data JPA with Spring 3.1.0

Does anyone have an idea how I can use Spring Data JPA and use Spring 3.1.0 / 3.1.1?

Spring JPA data 1.0.3 depends on Spring 3.0.5, so as soon as I add Spring jpa data as a dependency, I get a conflict as I am using 3.1.0.

I've tried using maven exception but didn't have much success.

I am successfully integrating Spring Data JPA 1.0.3 with Spring 3.1.0. Here's a stripped down pom.xml

one that looks ok:
