Anyone have an idea to test a wireless connection at a wireless access point

I have a wireless hotspot where they have a 50+ wireless client and the connection just blown up at some point. I think it has something to do with hardware overload. Anyway, to simulate or something like that to test the wireless access point in a heavy connection with many clients, so I manage to see which configuration works best for it.

You can use TMnetSim to simulate latency and packet loss.

I am not aware of any tool, but you can limit the number of clients accessing your router from the router web page. You can do some hits and trials and see how many clients can access without blowing up the router.
