What is the purpose of GUIDs in WP7 app and can they be easily changed?

The GUID is used to identify the app on the phone and on the market. Once accepted by the market, a new GUID will be assigned to your Microsoft application, so you should always use that GUID from now on for your updates etc. Were targeting the same application.
