Vim ctags, Ctrl + click makes mouse scrolling wrong

This is strange behavior, but I have isolated the problem.

I am using ctags with PHP.

If I Ctrl ](follow) the token, the mouse usually scrolls when activated in the next document.

Now if I am a Ctrl Clicktoken then the next document is opened with every "delta" scrolling equivalent to Page Downor Page Up.

(this means the page is scrolling too fast).

Has anyone ever seen this before?
