Can I change the layout of the TFS test case?
We are using test cases in Microsoft Test Manager 2010 to handle most of our acceptance tests, however we want to change the test case description to HTML (something we did for other work item types) and maybe make further changes ...
- Can I change the test case work item template without breaking Test Manager?
- If changes can be made, are there any restrictions?

Yes, with some restrictions. Testing steps cannot be changed at all.
This post gives a good example of customization.
Please note that there are ne new features in MTM 11 Rich Text support for test cases. So just hold on :)
