What are the limitations / problems with the "% columns css framework" approach?

I came across this css grid http://blog.stevendesigns.com/percent-columns-css-framework and found it interesting.

Can you find any reasons or disadvantages for NOT using this approach on a live website?

using the "grid css framework" is a disadvantage in itself



  • it adds bloat to HTML by adding many classes

  • often, HTML itself loses its structure and semantic meaning

  • you are bound by the framework constructs, limiting your creativity to what the framework can and cannot do.
