Select a wireless network in the iPad app

I am trying to create an iPad app that has Wi-Fi connectivity.

Essentially, I want to open a popup to display a list of available networks if not found.

I downloaded Mocha Telnet lite which is capable of doing just that.

Are there built-in commands in the iOS SDK that allow you to interact with Wi-Fi networks?
