SQL Server is said to be OGC standards compliant. In SQL Server 2012 WKT , a 2D point representation (e.g. 10.10) with a measured value (e.g. 40) looks like this:
"POINT (10 10 NULL 40)"
however, the OGC defines it as follows:
"Point M (10 10 40)"
