XAML Designer Crash in Visual Studio 2012

When I load the XAML file into the constructor, I get the following exception and then I have to kill VS 2012 from the process manager. Any ideas for working around?

I know this is a bit outdated, but I had a similar problem in VS2013, found the key from the MSDN article and checked the event viewer for exceptions, look for XDesProc.exe.

The problem was an outdated driver for my graphics card.

After updating everything started working again

This might help someone
