Rails 3: response_with and completed 406 Not allowed

I am creating an API for a Rails application. Actually I have two applications: server (API) and client (interacting with API). I am trying to make a post request to create a model object through an API call. When the object is valid, the model object is created, but I get the error Completed 406 Not Acceptable

. The server throws an error silently, so a response object is returned. It's enough to write / speak, here's the code:

Other Notes

When I use cURL to get a request to get all model objects, it works fine. When I try to POST request using cURL ... well it doesn't work because I am using cURL incorrectly and I don't know how to do it.

Update

As Vadim Chumel suggested, I changed the save method by adding .json

to the request url:
