UDP Multicast on Windows Azure Cloud Service
Does Windows Azure Cloud Service support UDP Multicast? I have set up internal UDP endpoints in my roles, but I am assuming that they are only open to the IPs assigned to web / worker roles in my cloud service and that the roles are not listening on 224.0.0.0 - 239.255.255.255.
I can imagine a workaround for my situation based on unicast and additional setup, but by default we run multicast so it would be fine.

Multicast UDP is not supported on Windows Azure. Due to security concerns, they chose to support UDP but not multicast. Based on Corey Sanders' recent comment about my beautiful azure windows design site , they have no plans to implement this in the near future.
