Oracle WebLogic 12c Deployment Plan Archive?

I'm trying to find any documentation on using the deployment plan archive for WLS 12c, but I can't find it.

Deployment Plan Archive. The variation we have in the WebLogic Console in the Deployment Service is a new feature added from 11G and currently not fully implemented, so the reason for it is not documented in any of the Oracle documentation.

We use the admin console to deploy our application and use our deployment plans (Plan.xml), but uploading the deployment plan requires that the jar is not an XML file.

Any ideas? Thank!
