How to place an exposed filter in a separate block in a view in drupal 7

With drupal 6, I could easily choose to have my open filters in a separate block, which I could then set in the sidebar. I can't figure out how to do this in Drupal 7. Does anyone know? Thanks, Diana

For D7 blocks, setting "Use AJAX" to Yes worked for me.

Also, if two blocks on the same page are filtering the same fields (but different data / views), it seems that applying a filter from the same block affects both blocks. Not sure how it works.



Clarification: under "Advanced" → "Other" set "Use AJAX" to "Yes"
