Bundler won't let me set gems

I am trying to troubleshoot these annoying DEPRECATION WARNINGS whenever I try to run rspec tests (I am wading through the Rails tutorial).

I tried the following suggestion: rspec triggers "DEPRECATION WARNING: InstanceMethods module inside ActiveSupport :: Concern will no longer be automatically enabled." just update my rspec versions.

However, whenever I tried to do this, I would get a message like this:

The bundle currently has rspec-core locked at 2.1.0.

Finally, I just went ahead and clicked bundle install

to refresh ALL of my gems. However, this caused the wonderful result of not updating these rspecs. What's happening? (And I update my commits on my current git branch along the way.)
