Setting up XML formatting in Eclipse?

How do I customize the XML formatter in Eclipse? I have looked through the settings menu in the XML node but cannot find it. Did I just skip it or hide it elsewhere?

Type format

in the quick search box above the TreeView in eclipse preferences and the preferences will be zoomed out to show only format preferences. You easily find

XML -> XML Files -> Editor


There are a few settings you can tweak here.
