Celery in Demon Mode

I am using the GNU screen to run Celery in console mode, but this is a hack that I do not want to use on a prodution server. I want to know how to demonize celery.

I have a virtualenv with a celery installation. I want to run %venv%/bin/celeryd

in daemon mode. I tried ./celeryd start

and got:

Unrecognized command line arguments: start

      

What else should I try running in daemon mode?

Try /etc/init.d/celeryd script.
