WebViewLink now returns "404 Not Found"

Public folder URIs that were viewed last week via webViewLink now return HTTP 404 - Not Found errors.

The folders are still public, contain index.html and are listed in this test script:

Nothing has changed in either web folders or webViewLink. Has something changed on the server?

This is an intentional change. As mentioned in the comments, "Anyone with a link" will not work and must be "Public on the Internet." Google will update the documentation.

This, unfortunately, was changed without warning to the community and is unforgivable. It's a shame if you were bitten by this.

Ok. I understood. So if you still can't see your public html, open the index file and File -> Allow Downloaders. Yes, and make the folder and files shareable like Publishing to the Web.
