Failed to start sonarqube plugin in eclipse

I want to use the sonarqube plugin in eclipse. I linked it to a sonar server and it looks like everything is fine. The problem arises during analysis. The conclusion says that Access to the secured property 'sonar.scm.user.secured' is not possible in preview mode. The SonarQube plugin which requires this property must be deactivated in preview mode.

Is it possible to fix this from eclipse or do I need to change something on the sonar server?

The error was caused by ScmStatsSensor. You need to add "scmstats" to the list of plugins that will be excluded from the preview check. From the docs :

Excluding plugins

Some plugins (not useful for analyzing previews) can be skipped thanks to the sonar.preview.excludePlugins property (was sonar.dryRun.excludePlugins before SonarQube 4.0 property). This property can be set via the SonarQube web interface: Settings> General settings> General> General). The default is "devcockpit, pdfreport, report, scmactivity, views, jira". For example, to skip the Build Stability plugin (because of https://jira.codehaus.org/browse/SONARIDE-346 ), set the property to "devcockpit, pdfreport, report, scmactivity, views, jira, buildstability".

You can also set this property in Eclipse at the global or project level. Right click on the project root and go to Properties / SonarQube / Preview Analysis Properties. Add a property there if you just want to exclude it for this project, or click Configure Workspace Settings and add it there to cover all projects. Your current list of exceptions is shown in the output above
