Weird problem with google maps. It shows the wrong tiles

It seems Google Maps stopped working normally a couple of hours ago. It displays the wrong tiles with the wrong coordinates. I tried to access my apps from different physical locations and tried different cards but nothing helps. The weird thing ... it worked great until last night and nothing changed in my source.

I am also experiencing this problem in the main example: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/examples/map-simple and I am curious if this works for anyone else.

I wonder if there is some (global) issue or if I missed an important update for some reason? I cannot find anything suitable using Google, so I hope someone here can help me.

By the way, https://maps.google.com works great.

Respectfully,

Bart

The problem seems to be gone. All of a sudden, a simple map reload (even clearing the cache) makes the default map load as expected.

I still don't know what happened, but at least I'm glad it works again.

Google Maps support for business just let me know this issue needs to be fixed.

This is a "tile caching" issue, they said.

Although it's still broken for someone I work with
