Archiving table data to another table in Rails

I have a table in my db that contains a lot of data and the search query takes a long time, so I want to archive some old data to another table, I searched and found some gems and solutions to add a column to the same table and did some kinds areas in the model, but I want the old data to move another table as archived data. Is there any gem you guys know or a way to deal with this problem?
