TestFlight iOS 8 - Error: The wrong app was specified for the install request

I am trying to use the new TestFlight for iOS 8, but I get the following error: "An invalid app was specified for an install request" when the user (himself) clicks the Install button on the TestFlight app.

I looked at the app config in iTunesConnect, set up internal testers (including me), and sent out invitations. Then I opened an invitation on my iPhone with iOS 8 GM; TestFligh application opened with prompt and install button. Here I see an error message when I click Install.

Has anyone faced this problem?

It is possible for the build to install successfully simply by typing something in the "Test Information" in iTunes Connect. For example, I entered text for "What to test" and clicked "Save", received a notification that the assembly was ready and successfully installed.

This error also occurs when iTunesConnect servers are malfunctioning. It looks like TestFlight's beta testing system is a bit overwhelmed. It took 30 minutes to "process" the build for distribution. We filled in the field for testing, but this error still appeared. More recently, it took about 30 minutes from being notified that there was a new build to test until it could install successfully. I tried to look at the information in iTunesConnect, but it is an error when selecting an application on the MyApps screen.
