Using the Asana API to copy a project

Is there a way to copy an Asana project using an API similar to the available "Use as template (copy project)" feature in the web interface?

We make heavy use of "template" projects, and we are now trying to automate this process.

So far, the Asana API doesn't make it easy. But still, if you want this to work, select the template project using the Asana API and run the tasks. After that, create a new project and insert your tasks or any other details you want. It will get you to work.
