I am trying to install some library, she asked me to install the following:

linux-tools-virtual 3.13.0.35.42 linux-tools-lowlatency 3.13.0.35.42 linux-tools-generic-lts-trusty 3.13.0.35.42 linux-tools-generic-lts-saucy 3.13.0.35.42 linux- tools-generic 3.13.0.35.42 You must explicitly choose one to install.

A quick glance at it apt-cache search linux-tools

shows that even apt-get doesn't know who you are talking about. There are many of those packages that are also called.

Be explicit about which one you need to install. Since I don't know which one you need for your application, I cannot recommend a specific, accurate setup for you that I know will work 100%. But they linux-tools-generic

also linux-tools-virtual

seem promising. Take a look at these packages and see if they contain the libraries you need.
