How to install Linux tools
I am trying to install some library, she asked me to install the following:

I am using aws instance as ubuntu user, version 14.

A quick glance at it apt-cache search linux-tools
shows that even apt-get doesn't know who you are talking about. There are many of those packages that are also called.
Be explicit about which one you need to install. Since I don't know which one you need for your application, I cannot recommend a specific, accurate setup for you that I know will work 100%. But they linux-tools-generic
also linux-tools-virtual
seem promising. Take a look at these packages and see if they contain the libraries you need.
