In Android, can the death of the binder be forced?

I have a Binder that I am sending to a remote process, this remote process uses linkToDeath

to watch when the Binder dies. The remote process gets a callback when the process crashes, but is there a way I can run Binder death programmatically on the side that owns Binder without crashing?
