What is the difference between adding jar to WEB-INF / lib folder and BuildPath

Build path strings are not part of your web application.
On the other hand, banks WEB-INF/lib
are part of your project.
The advantage of having banners WEB-INF/lib
over build path assemblies is that they are embedded in your application when the file is created WAR
.
This is useful if you want to deploy your application to some server where you do not have permission to change banners in the build path.
Hope this helps!

Buildpath banks
- Pros: reduce the size of your WAR, share between apps
- Negative: class-spouse soup - version conflicts
WEB-INF / lib jars
- Pro: It's helpful to avoid version conflicts
- If you are packaging a single application in component jars, you may prefer to keep it neatly packaged inside the WAR
