Xcode 6 features funny characters

I have a problem with Xcode 6 which starts showing funny and annoying symbols as shown below. I think I typed in a specific key that made my Xcode editor such an annoying stuff by mistake.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to get my editor up and running?

You accidentally turned on the Show Invisible option located in the Editor menu:

Show Invisibles



Just click this option (now "Hide invisible") again to hide the characters.
