Configuring IIS for SAML Authentication

I have IIS 7 (Windows Server 2008 R2) and TFIM that are user-terminated, so by the time the IIS request appears, there is a SAML token exposed via WS-Fed.

I'm trying to figure out what had to be installed or configured on the IIS side in order to use this token?

Do you need to change the authentication module in IIS to something else? Anything else?

Do I need to install something?

In the Microsoft world, applications using STS (such as ADFS or TFIM) that use WS-Federation for authentication use WIF to handle claims enclosed in a SAML token.

There is nothing specific to IIS.
