Xcode: how to get resize buttons in frontend builder

Question

I opened an old project in Xcode 6 version 6.0 (6A279r).

For some .xib files, IB shows resize buttons: enter image description here

But for certain .xib files IB does not display resize buttons: enter image description here

How can I enable the missing size view buttons?

Okay, that was easy.

Just go to the Attributes Inspector and select Freeform to fit:
