What is BinScope's GSFunctionOptimizeCheck and GSFunctionSafeBuffersCheck?
I am using Microsoft BinScope to test arbitrary executables. BinScope is an SDLC compliance tool.
The tool is labeled executable for GSFunctionOptimizeCheck
and GSFunctionSafeBuffersCheck
(among others). I am not familiar with any of them.
The search returned about 10 results on the web and 0 results on Stack Overflow. Microsoft's BinScope help page doesn't mention this.
What is GSFunctionOptimizeCheck
and GSFunctionSafeBuffersCheck
, and what are the fixes?
