IOS8 Blur Not Working on iPad Retina Simulator

Visual Effect View With Blur Doesn't work on iPad Retina Simulator. It works with iPad Air Simulator. I am using Xcode 6.0; IOS8

It seems to me that the problem is with the apple. Do you agree? Note that the image is just transparent, not blurry.

The iPad Retina is the third-generation iPad that Apple chose not to blur like the iPad 2. It happened somewhere between the beta versions of iOS 7.0, presumably due to poor GPU performance. Same with iOS 8.0 / 8.1. Use the Air simulator for blur effects. Note that it is 64-bit as well, so your code may differ slightly depending on what you are doing.
