Recording audio and video with mediaMuxer examples?

I am trying to record audio and video using mediaMuxer. I followed the video recording example from https://github.com/google/grafika , but when I attach to the audio stream it results in a broken video for half the time. Does anyone know of any examples or tutorials that show how to properly record audio and video?
