Webmin error when applying configuration after changing BIND DNS server

I just installed Webmin and created a zone which seems to be correct as Check BIND returns

No errors were found in the BIND configuration file / etc / named.conf or in the zone-specific files.

The problem was that after a few hours my domains are still not cleared, but instead of returning UNKNOWN, SERVER immediately delays for about 30 seconds before returning the UNKNOWN SERVER message.

Reading the webmin tutorial, I found that I needed to click Apply Zone and then the error appeared:

Failed to execute NDC command: rndc: neither /etc/rndc.conf nor / etc / rndc.key found

So, after reading about the error found by "rndc-confgen" and creating a key file with "rndc-confgen -a" but it still doesn't work:

Failed to execute NDC command: rndc: connect failed: 127.0.0.1 # 953: connection refused

So, I think this is a service, but I don't know how to start it ... try "rndc-confgen> /etc/rndc.conf", but now I get this error:

Failed to execute NDC command: WARNING: key file (/etc/rndc.key) exists but using default config file (/etc/rndc.conf) rndc: connect failed: 127.0.0.1 # 953: connection refused

So, I guess I still need to start the service, but have no idea how to do it ... I have a Fedora 14 virtual server, there are commands like rndc and rndc-confgen available.

Well, since rndc.conf is missing, all you have to do is click on the "setup RNDC" icon on the "BIND DNS Server" web server and confirm to complete the setup. This creates the missing rndc.conf file.
