Phonegap validation error: failed to validate your application, package does not contain info.plist

I just finished my application. It works great on all devices I've tested it on. It also archives successfully. However, when I try to test it in the Xcode organizer, I get the following errors:

-Action to validate your application: info.plist in the package must contain the CFBundleShortVersionString key

-Action to validate your application: the package does not contain info.plist

I checked the project files and I can see the info.plist file.

Any help? Please keep in mind that since I am new to this, the step-by-step explanations will be the most useful resources for me.
