API to get the latest browser and Flash versions?

I'm looking for a web service that provides me with the latest version numbers for major web browsers as well as Adobe Flash?

fresh-browsers.com seems to have been for this, but has been abandoned.

Please note that I am not doing this for feature detection, but so that I can tell my users to update their Flash or web browser, so Modernizr will not fix my problems.
