Get information about iOS claim refund

BACKGROUND
I help third party hosts 3 apps they paid me (they gave me access to their Apple credentials created specifically for this app - to manage the iTunesConnect process).

Because of this, I get access to all sales data, etc. via iTunesConnect. We currently have all 3 apps, two of which are the first releases, and one of them has been in the store for several months now and is updated a couple of times. The first app was originally released with an introductory price of $ 1.99, which increased to $ 3.99 after about a month.

TOP QUESTION
I just got my daily report from AppFigures.com (highly recommended by the way, it's a relatively cheap way to get a good amount of automated data and app sales analytics) and I noticed that app # 1 had 3 returns yesterday. We only had 7 returns ever, and all 3 of those returns were originally purchased for $ 1.99. So I am very curious as to why they received a refund NOW. We used to have bugs that were later fixed by updates, so I don't understand why anyone has a legitimate reason to ask for and receive a refund at this point.

Pay attention . I fully understand that I will never get information to link directly to the user. I understand why, but this is a bit embarrassing (and this is why we included a voluntary interaction / feedback mechanism in the application itself). I'm just wondering if I can see from Apple the reason they chose to request a refund.

Basically, I would like to answer the following question:

"Why did Apple think the refund was justified?"

I suppose this will be useful information for us; if there is something wrong with the application and we do not know, this can help us fix it. Does anyone know how / if this information is available?

I did what Injuanj suggested and contacted Apple directly.

Here is their (completely useless) answer:

Thank you for contacting us about your sales and trend reports.

I understand that you would like more information on refunds.

You can find refund information for your content by filtering your Top Management Console to Transaction Type> Refund. Returns will be indicated as negative values.

Apple does not currently provide customer or refund information.

If you have any further questions regarding your sales reports, we know. We will be happy to help.

Respectfully,

Julia

  • I already knew how to view my return / refund invoice, which I knew sent the email in the first place!
  • I have not requested customer information. I know Apple is not going to do this. Duh. I did indicate this in my original letter.
  • I think the real answer is here:

Apple does not currently provide customer or refund information.
