Google Glass on Windows7: Unable to access device

I have a new google glass and I tried to connect it to my Windows 7 PC, but I cannot access the storage. If you try the command adb devices

, the glass is not displayed.

  • I have already installed the latest Google USB drivers.
  • Enabled Developer options on glass
  • Displayed as "Android ADB Interface" in Device Manager.
  • If I connect the glass to my Windows8 PC, everything looks good - so there should be no problem with the cable itself or the glass.
  • I also tested updating the drivers INF file with the data listed in Device Manager to the "hardware id" (as shown in several solutions), but that didn't change anything.

I have tested all these steps on two different PCs.

Answer as originally posted, as an edit to the "question" (at @ user4288741):

The driver was completely removed and then reinstalled the latest driver - now everything works fine.
