What is ChronicleMap Ready?
I want to play around a bit with ChronicleMap and be a little confused which version I should be using in production.
1.*
looks like "released", 2.*
looks like an alpha scene. I would use the release version, but from my understanding, the current documentation refers to the features of the alpha version. That is, I do not see OffHeapUpdatableChronicleMapBuilder
in 1.0.2
. Since this is the "official" documentation, I can think of it to 2.*
be used in production as well. Could it?
PS Environment is java 8, 64 bit windows for dev, linux in production.

Chronicle Map 2.x is the version you should consider.
It is currently in beta, with no major improvements, only bug fixes.
The beta is good for development and the API won't change significantly until release.
How long is this beta depends on the number of bug reports. Of course, we hope it will be a week or two.
The first release of a quality release will be 2.1.
