Jersey with unmarshalling responder face with HashSet field
I have a problem with Jersey
(2.13). I believe the problem is with the un-marshalling mechanism. My object User
has a field - a collection of objects Role
. When I try to get it, I get an error.

The problem is that when serializing you are probably using MOXy, which adds an extra wrapper element ( roles
in this case) that is not fully supported by Jackson.
You can use MOXy for client side de-serialization

.register(MoxyJsonFeature.class);
or slightly change the model class so that the JAXB (MOXy) serializer produces what Jackson is capable of de-serializing

Finally, you can enable Jersey to use Jackson on the server side by registering JacksonFeature
