Crimson pi red light

I have a Raspberry Pi B + connected to a Seagate Portable 1 Tb external USB drive (no external power supply).

Everything is working fine, but when the disk is writing / reading data, the red light (power) flashes sometimes. But I have no power loss or corrupted data.

I tested with three different power supplies:

1) common which is flashing (5V 3A)

2) my original Galaxy S4 charger (5V 2A) does the same

3) Galaxy Tab 3 charger (5V 2A) red light always off

Since original Samsung chargers are reliable, do I think my external HD is using too much power? But if this is true, why does Malina continue and I have no corrupted data?

The red light is flashing but everything is working fine - is this a real problem? Or could it damage it after a few weeks or months? Maybe I need to consider stopping the use of the external drive?

Thank.

According to the wiki :

Red Power LED
Blinking A blinking red power LED indicates a problem with the power supply. On models A and B, it is hardwired to the 3.3V rail power supply. If it blinks because one user reported 1 , it means the 5V power supply is dropping. Use a different power supply.

On model B + (and presumably also A +), the circuitry has been improved to give a much more reliable warning of poor power quality. The red power LED is connected to the APX803 [2] supervisor, which is activated when the 5V power supply drops below 4.63V [3]. If so, the LED will flash. Check connections, cable and power supply.
