It's not really a mention, but you can send a reminder to the user using the Send Reminder Link link found on the View Task page.

As of MantisBT 1.3.0-rc.2 and MantisHub, user mentions are supported in a much better way than using reminders. You can point any user through your username. For example @johnsmith.

Here are some aspects to consider:

  • Users @ are referenced through their username, not their real name.
  • Usernames cannot use email address or spaces, or @mentions will not work.
  • Mentions are supported when adding an issue (summary, description, steps to reproduce, and additional information) or note. It is not supported when updating such fields.
  • Mentioned users receive special email notifications of the mention.
  • Users will not receive an email notification if they do not have access to an issue or notice that they are mentioned.
  • Mentioned users will not receive future issue notifications simply because they have been mentioned. They are also not added to the list of monitors for the problem.
  • Mentioning a hyperlink to the user's profile page.

More information on this can be found in the MantisHub blog post .
