IOS EXC_BAD_ACCESS KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS

I sometimes get this error:

I searched SO and I found a couple of things:

  • Can I have a dangling pointer?
  • Out of memory (I'm pretty sure it isn't)

Now my question is, how can I fix such an error? Where can I start looking, etc.

Thank you in advance

Include zombie objects to debug this. Go to Product -> Scheme -> Edit Scheme -> Run Debug Section -> Diagnostics Section -> (Check) Include Zombie Objects.

You can find more details here

Start by figuring out how to reproduce the bug. Then launch Tools (CMD + i in Xcode) and use Zombie-Instrument. When the Simulator starts, reproduce the problem and you should figure out what the problem is.
