Creating Gaps in Highcharts

I have a master part chart that displays multiple series of timestamped values ​​in row, spline and column formats based on user selection.

My problem is that when the range of timestamps (say a whole week) and their corresponding values ​​are missing, the spline, line and master do what is expected and outline a smooth line between the break. However, this is misleading and I would prefer it to show a line break when a certain range of timestamps is missing. I tried connectNulls: false

, but since both labels and values ​​are missing, it doesn't work.

Is there a way to achieve this? Preferably without looping the data and adding missing timestamps and zeros, since the intervals are not always regular.
