Talend export and import work

In Talend (specifically MDM Studio TOS and TOP 4.2.3 on Windows 7), how can I export a job so that it can be imported to a separate computer into an existing workspace.

To export a job:

  • Right click on the job and select Export Job.

  • To the right of the archive file, click Browse to select a destination and name for the zip archive of the job.

  • Select the version of the job.

  • Set the export type for the anonymous job.

  • Check all parameters.

  • Click Finish.

  • A ZIP archive will be created at the selected destination containing the job.



To import a job:

  • Right-click on Work Structures in the Repository section and select Import Items.

  • Click Select archive file, Browse and select the ZIP archive for the job.

  • Replace existing items if necessary if you are importing an existing job.

  • Check the job in the tree of the list of items.

  • Click Finish.

  • The task should now appear in the Work Projects section.
