Android deep binding without corresponding url

So, from my understanding of an android app, deep linking works like this: You have a website with multiple pages. For each page, you define a deep link. This causes the app to appear in Google search instead of the website if the search term matches.

For example, if I add a deep link to http://example.com/entry/entryname and someone goes to search for "example entryname", they see a deep link to the application instead of the website.

My question is, is it possible to add your application to a "deep link like style" to search on Google without having web pages to do so? In this case, I have an app showing multiple wikipedia entries related to a specific topic. I also own the domain corresponding to the application. Now I want my app to appear in google search if a user searches for this topic, and my app has an entry for a given search term.

Ie: a custom search for "example entryname" -> google search shows the capability of my application, although not http://example.com/entry/entryname

thanks in advance danijoo

see here

Support for HTTP addresses in your application

it is clearly written here that

"Note: If you have an app without relevant web page content and would like it to be found on Google Search, please fill out our app-only interests form. It is currently being tested by multiple developers."
