Can I send information from iPhone to Apple Watch?

I did some research, and I found that it was possible to call an iPhone from an Apple Watch extension (using the openParentApplication method), but I didn't find anything to talk about calling an Apple Watch from an iPhone application (like openChildApplication).

Is it possible? If yes, please tell me how?
