Moving BigQuery data to the new European zone

After Google's announcement that BigQuery data can now be found in Europe, I'm trying to figure out how to start the migration process. Support answered: "For more information on moving data in the new European zone, you should contact Google Cloud Platform technical support. I suggest you submit your technical questions to Stackoverflow:"

So here I am. How do we move our data to Europe?

Use the BQ web interface for the web interface:



  • Copy table to new dataset
  • Share your existing dataset
  • Export and save the table locally, load again into a new dataset.
