How to serve pdf.js through a Rails pipeline

What's the correct way to feed pdf.js through the asset pipeline? As a quick solution, I put the whole folder with all the pdf.js files like pictures, fonts, scripts, styles, etc. To a shared folder, but I feel like there must be a better way.

I looked at a couple of GEMs available, but they all seem outdated and contain 2-3 years of pdf.js.
