Android Build for socket.io with intel xdk

I am using IntelXDK 2015 update to build my applications.

I am building an app using "Cordova Hybrid Mobile Application Platforms" for "Android Build" option, but socket.io was not working.

However, when I used "Legacy Hybrid Mobile App Platforms" for the "Android Build" option, socket.io works

I don't know why this is happening

Have the same problem. Emulation and testing through app view in Intel works like a charm, but when I embed in an Android Cordova app I have the same problem. Also tried using "Legacy Hybrid Mobile App Platforms" and it works.
