How to write KeyListener for JavaFX

I want to write a small game in which I can move the ball on the JavaFX panel with keys W, A, S, D.
I have getPosX()

and setPosX()

, but I don’t know how to write KeyListener

which would be eg. calculate setPosX(getPosX()+1)

if i click D.

What should I do?

From the JavaRanch Forum Post .

Key press and release ramps are added to the stage and update the motion state variables recorded in the application. The animation timer connects to the JavaFX pulse engine (which will be closed by default to trigger the event 60 times per second), so it's kind of a game loop. The timer checks for the move state variables and applies their delta actions to the character position, which effectively moves the character around the screen in response to keystrokes.

Scene myScene = new Scene();

KeyCombination cntrlZ = new KeyCodeCombination(KeyCode.Z, KeyCodeCombination.CONTROL_DOWN);
myScene.setOnKeyPressed(new EventHandler<KeyEvent>(){
