WhatsApp share button on website - can I share an image?

Can I use the image via WhatsApp via a web browser? All I found was this: Share WhatsApp link from mobile site (not app) for Android to share text. Is there a way to do this to trigger an image to be sent via WhatsApp from a web browser?
